Many times my mood dictates the kind of music I listen to. However, it also works the other way around. Music is a very big part of my life. I listen to music while I'm working, blogging, getting ready for work, driving, or just chilling out. Music affects my mood in many different ways.
Today, I'm feeling a little mellow as I'm listening to my mellow music. I decided to make a playlist of the music that's affecting my mood today so that I could share it with you. Besides, I need more music to listen at my place of employment.
I used to listen to this particular music playlist on my IPod while I was fishing at one of the lakes outside of town. I'd set my chair up by the bank of the lake, cast my fishing line, and then watch for fish. Most of the time the fish wouldn't bite, so, I'd watch the gentle waves of water, rippling accross the surface of the lake, instead. Also, I'd watch the geese, ducks, and birds fly over and all the while would be listening to my music. The music relaxed me, allowed me to imagine things and be transported to other places as well. I'd feel the soft warm breeze touch my face. I'd see the water glistening from the advancing sun above me. I'd close my eyes and then sway my body to the rhythm of the music. So now, every time I listen to this music playlist, I'm reminded of the times I spent at the lake.
My take on life in general, health, and money matters. I'd love for you to stop and stay a while. I'd love to hear what you have to say. So, come on in and have a seat. I'm right here, in my rocking chair, by the window. Before you leave, I'd like to say THANK YOU for taking the time. I enjoyed visiting and chatting with you. Thank you so much. You made my day.

Oh Tasha - well I listened to them all while reading blogs, loved your mellow selction! What a great idea to share your music. I am with you, I like to have music playing all the time. Your fishing adventure sounds great too! Very relaxing.
Hello Lilly,
Oh, I'm so glad you liked my selections. They really are very mellow, aren't they? When I went to the lake, there were times when I just went to just chill out and relax with nature. Some people said to me that I was ruining my outdoor experience by listening to my IPod instead of listening to the nature's sound.
Thanks again for reading and commenting.

Hi Tasha-
This is the coolest little contraption! Where the heck do you find all these cool things?
And you're right. Music so effects our moods and even fixes them when necessary. I like your playlist a lot.
Vikki
I love them, but too much of enya is not good for me..lol...I like most especially the latter portion, Michael, you should have included , beeges, beatles and abba, Kenny..lol..
What a great play list. My current playlist appeals only to 5-year-olds. It's getting better though. One of our nieces introduced the girls to Taylor Swift, so I'm feeling very current with today's trendy artists. :)
Hello Vikki,
Feel free to link if you like. I think this kind of music would be good while you're painting.
You can also make your own by clicking to where it says "CREATE YOUR FREE PLAYLIST". It's very easy to do. It just needs some time to figure out what songs to put in. Basically I was copying my own IPod playlists, which is easy because everything there is already programmed the way I wanted. I then just search for those particular songs and just click and add.
If you don't want to go through all the trouble, feel free to listen to mine by making a link to this particular post. Enjoy.
Thanks for the visit and comments.

Hi Jena,
Is Enya music a downer for you? I think that it would relaxe you as you're grading your students' papers or just when you're preparing your lesson plans. Just a thought.
Don't worry, the other playlists that will be posted in the future will have some of the groups or singers you had mentioned in your comments. I promise you'll not be disappointed. After all, I'm a complicated person that has many different moods and many different personalities that different songs and music can describe.
Thanks for reading and commenting.

Hi Shari,
I remember very well when the my children were little also. I pretty much listened to the music they were listening also. Through them, I was introduced to many other type of songs, singers, and groups as they were growing up. I still listen to Back Street Boys, Aqua, N Sync, Brittany Sprears, and others, which will be featured in my future music playlist posts.
Taylor Swift was here during FRONTIER DAYS, opening for Toby Keith last year. She was very good and very entertaining.
Thanks for reading and commenting.

Tasha, I loved the way you described the time you spent at the lake...Enya's music fits perfectly. And your post reminded me I should start listening to my favourite music again.
Duni
Hi Duni,
So good to see you here again. I hope that each day, you're health and strength are improving.
Do you know that music has healing powers? Just make sure that the kind of music is the kind that relaxes or uplifts you and not the ones that put you down into melancholia.
Thanks for visiting and commenting. Enjoy listening to your favorite music again.
Tasha
I love Bread!
Tasha, you have a good selection there. I'll have to listen while I'm writing one night, and see what effect it has on the finished product. Music is such a large part of my process that its fun to try different "flavors".
You know, years ago, I would go fishing and never even put a hook on the line. I would simply cast out my line, and relax on the river bank. No one ever stopped to ask what i was doing for they could see I was "Fishing". It was a great way to take in the soft ripples of the water, and let the warm sun glaze over my thoughts. You have a bit of my love for the nature in you girl, and it shows in this post.
Hello Roy,
Only Bread, Roy? LOL. I suppose, I'll forgive you on the 95% content that you don't like. Hee, hee.
Tasha
Hi Eric,
I'm glad that you like my playlist. I'd be so curious to find out how it affects your writing. The trick for me is to set my volume to the lowest that it's not jarring my thinking and concentration abilities while I'm blogging or writing.
So glad that I'm not the only one who goes fishing not strictly to fish, but also just to chill out. Yep, I could see you now, fishing on the other side of the lake from where I am, thinking that you're a person intently fishing as you'd probably be thinking the same thing of the other person (me) across the lake is doing. Ha, ha. What a funny thought, huh?
Tasha
Hi Tasha,
Feeling mellow does become you when you start listening to the songs. I have some of those songs on my ipod too...
Z
When I'm in the mood for mellow, there's nothing like Sade. Ah... she's the best. I've been a fan of hers for over 15 years now. Of course, you can't be depressed when listening to her 'cause she may just take you over the edge...
Davida

How relaxing and beautiful these songs are and I love Enya. Thank you for sharing this!
Hi Ram,
I'm not very good at maneuvering the different offering on the web, so I have to say thank you on this one. Besides, I don't have a facebook.
Thanks for visiting.
Tasha
Hello Heidi,
I think many people loves Enya music. Very relaxing indeed.
Tasha
Tashabud - as you may know, I like to write listening to music. It's like a switch goes on and I just get connected to my story and away I go. It's very hard to write without it.
Hi Lou,
Thanks so much for visiting my blog. It's good to know that I'm not the only one who writes with some music on. However, it has to be the mellow type for me when I'm writing.
I'm sorry that my playlist is not working anymore when you visited. I'm not sure if you were able to listen to the music by clicking on the "Tahsbud's Playlist".
Thanks again for stopping by.
Tasha
