My Wild Side

Hello everybody. Do you remember reading the post where I wrote about me listening to my mellow music while fishing at the lake? Well, the music was so relaxing that it literally put me to sleep. In order to combat my sleepiness as I drove home, I had to listen to rock and roll, at full blast. I’m going to share my playlist with you. I only hope that it will come through to my blog.

I believe that there’s a wild side in all of us. You can tell by listening to this playlist that I definitely have a wild streak in me. My wildness doesn’t end there, though. Oh, no. I have to be humming, singing along if I know the words, or bobbing my head back and forth like a maniac. Have you ever seen people doing that in their car? If you don’t hear their music when they’re acting that way, they look pretty silly, right? Well, that’s how I’d look if you could see me—pretty silly.

I usually have a real difficult time waking up after I get out of bed. So, I often listen to the same rowdy music while I’m getting ready for work. I’ll be swaying side to side or dancing in place as I brush my teeth or curl my hair.

Okay, I’ll wrap this up so that you can enjoy listening to this music as you go about your weekend activities.

FEELING MELLOW

Many times my mood dictates the kind of music I listen to. However, it also works the other way around. Music is a very big part of my life. I listen to music while I'm working, blogging, getting ready for work, driving, or just chilling out. Music affects my mood in many different ways.

Today, I'm feeling a little mellow as I'm listening to my mellow music. I decided to make a playlist of the music that's affecting my mood today so that I could share it with you. Besides, I need more music to listen at my place of employment.

I used to listen to this particular music playlist on my IPod while I was fishing at one of the lakes outside of town. I'd set my chair up by the bank of the lake, cast my fishing line, and then watch for fish. Most of the time the fish wouldn't bite, so, I'd watch the gentle waves of water, rippling accross the surface of the lake, instead. Also, I'd watch the geese, ducks, and birds fly over and all the while would be listening to my music. The music relaxed me, allowed me to imagine things and be transported to other places as well. I'd feel the soft warm breeze touch my face. I'd see the water glistening from the advancing sun above me. I'd close my eyes and then sway my body to the rhythm of the music. So now, every time I listen to this music playlist, I'm reminded of the times I spent at the lake.

Wyoming Welcomes You

I was going through my picture files for photos to use for my new novel post when I came upon these pictures. I’ve always liked these signs, so, when my daughter and I were returning home from Colorado, this past December, we stopped by the highway so I could take these photos. I think they depict the true picture of a real western frontier that is Wyoming.

This sign is located on I-25 on the border of Wyoming and Colorado.

In my bestest cowgirl speakin’ voice…

So, here you go pards (and pardettes), come on over and visit us here in our beloved state of Wyoming, y’hear? Y’all ‘r welcome anytime. If y’ur comin’ from the north or south direction, mosey on up or down I-25. If y’ur comin’ from the east or west direction, mosey on across I-80. Sounds simple, don’t it? It’s cuz it’s jus' that simple. It sure is.

If y’all decide to come this way, jus' wanna warn you gents to keep a tight rein on yer sweethearts. It’s not uncommon for ladies meetin’ some real handsome cowboys and jus' fall in love with them, right there on the spot. And ladies, jus’ wanna warn ya also that there are some real good-lookin’ cowgirls, too. So If I wuz you, I’d be holdin’ tight onto my sweetheart’s arm the whole time. Jus' kiddin’ y’all ‘bout the last stuff. I’m jus’ tryin’ to infuse a li’l bit of romanticism into this post. I don’t want none of ya to feel scared or anythin’. All in all, we’re jus’ as normal as y’all, or is it jus’ as crazy?

But, don’t take my word for it. Come and experience the wild west yerselves?

The Animal Personality Test

I found this personality test over at Where The Road Takes Us. It definitely characterizes me almost to the "T". I didn't know I'm irrational, though. Oh, wait, would carelessly giving a hitchhiker a ride and angrily riding my bycicle alone to Vedauwoo, a forty-mile ride from Cheyenne, be considered irrational actions?

You Relate to Deer and Pandas

Your Power Animal: Deer

Animal You Were in a Past Life: Panda

You are a fun-seeker - an adventurous, risk-taker.

While you are spontaneous, you are not very rational.
